Vermintide 3 isn’t coming anytime soon, Fatshark claims

Vermintide 3

Vermintide 3 is not coming for now, according to Fatshark themselves. The popular PC franchise has captured the hearts of many gamers with its very interesting horde based cooperative gameplay. You are meant to slay a ton of vermin along the way and each way grows even more dangerous, the concept is amazing, but the handling behind it has been rather atrocious to say the least. Tons of DLC packs, games sold to you in pieces, all of the inexcusable things you won’t really want to see in any other game are done in the Vermintide franchise, and the same will happen with Vermintide 3 if it becomes real or not.

Vermintide 3 is on the bin for now

Upgrading and selling you more DLC is the modus operandi of Fatshark, they know very well that when they get a playerbase hooked they can just sell more missions in packs for a quite expensive price. Price gouging is a normal thing in the industry, and this has been popularized primarily by companies like EA Games and other grifters that have sold their creators away to accrue resources. Thankfully many of these companies are dying out, EA will perhaps never recover from the decision they took, and this is a thing that will affect many scummy companies, including Fatshark.

Aside from their own spiel about what they wanna do, there’s nothing much, the usual corporate blabber about taking care of games is present like always. No matter how many times the community has tried to speak about the issues with Vermintide, they have never really answered, therefore, players must unify and find a way to fix the game themselves. The concept is amazing, but the majority of times when a concept is amazing its handled by a company that shouldn’t handle it. We can only hope Vermintide 3 is done by people who care.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
