Silent Hill f devs admit the game will be different in 2025

Silent Hill f devs confirm that the game will be different, this comes to no surprise to many because it was already expected when more news started dropping about the game as time went on. We know that it will have some action RPG mechanics that really feel reminiscent to that of a souls like, this can be the end for the revival of a beloved series, for deviating too much from the core concept. I don’t think Ryukishi07 can save this one, and I would be surprised if something good comes out from a combat focused psychological horror game, if it is still a psychological horror game that is.

Silent Hill f devs claim its different

The developers behind Silent Hill f also assure us that despite the game being different, it will feature some things that are familiar to the franchise. Of course, this was done to do some heavy damage control, many fans are disappointed with the changes, some citing that the hit stop happening with every attack feels like some sort of ludicrous Smash Bros thing. Silent Hill has never focused in combat before, so this one is a weird change that will divide the fan base into the new generation of players versus the old generation.

Silent Hill f will come soon on PC and other platforms, we also have to keep into account that they are using Unreal Engine 5, so it will probably run like the game was made out of molasses or something. If you have a good PC, there’s the probability that the game will keep struggling to run properly, for this is the fate of every modern PC port. If you are still somehow interested in supporting this new release of Silent Hill, give a click on the wishlist button to boost it in the algorithm.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
