Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has just received a new patch titled 1.5.1 that’s focused on fixing a wide range of gameplay issues including NPC behaviors and several in-game crashes. However, there’s no performance improvements in this patch so don’t expect any boost to your FPS and that’s understandable as the previous patch for Stalker 2 had already included multiple performance fixes so it’ll take a bit of time for developer GSC GameWorld to come up with more performance enhancements but that could certainly happen with the next patch or so.
The fixes included in patch 1.5.1 are improvements for Stalker 2‘s NPC behaviors in many instances during gameplay for example sometimes after a headshot, an NPC’s corpse would end up flying and many other little quirks like those. The new patch also fixes two in-game errors that were previously causing Stalker 2 to crash, so yes the patch does make the overall experience more polished and smoother for all players.
However, the new patch is not compatible with some of the mods released for Stalker 2 as the devs have stated that in case of stability or performance issues after installing the new patch, you should disable all your mods.
