Infinity Nikki Announces Version 1.7

Infinity Nikki is soon to release a massive update in the form of the yet-to-be-released Version 1.7, also known as “Blue Tears Season.” The new version has been said to add depth to the story of the game since it adds a new dungeon, a new set of three outfits, and a more ominous story that deals with the murder of the Wishing One in the Wishfield world. This plot progression is a conscious move toward more mature content, something not done entirely on its own since Version 1.2 of the game, and an effort to make up for past grievances of a shortage of humanoid characters.

Much anticipation is due for the introduction of new fashion items in the form of a significant 5-Star snake-themed outfit and an unobtrusive 4-Star moth-themed outfit, both available under a new Limited Banner. The patch also includes the return of the fan favorite Blooming Dreams banner during the second half of the patch cycle, when people have another chance to get highly desirable items. Explorers will also explore the Serpentine Ruins, a new story dungeon which will be turned into a permanent Realm of Eureka in a later patch, Version 1.8.

Coming on July 7, 2025, Version 1.7 is focused on content and quality-of-life changes. Neither new gigantic maps nor the so-promised housing system will be included in this update in the near future—the latter arriving in Version 1.8—but players will get to experience a number of improvements. One of the most noteworthy updates is companion Momo being able to strike a pose in Photo Mode and an increase of the Color Lookbook system with more customization.

This update comes at the most critical period for Infinity Nikki after the turbulent release of Version 1.5, which saw player grievances regarding items like the dye system and modifications to the game’s introductory prologue. Although Version 1.6 provided the performance and stability update, it failed to resolve the key complaints. Version 1.7, even though it was progressive in terms of story and content, does not restore the original dye system or prologue. Speculations for Version 2.0 in the future propose a bold move with a new area, Twinmoon Kingdom, indicating ongoing development for Infinity Nikki.
