Elden Ring Nightreign

It seems Elden Ring Nightreign has already run into severe performance related issues ahead of it’s release today, with developer FromSoftware officially warning PC gamers that they can experience sudden dips in framerates when using “the latest graphics cards.” And while Elden Ring Nightreign has received a Day 1 Patch, FromSoftware recommends PC players to lower their graphics settings as well as lowering the screen resolution if they’re still affected by framedrops and other performance problems.

The developer has released this official statement to everyone who’s currently having technical problems in Elden Ring Nightreign:

“We have confirmed that some PC configurations using the latest graphics cards may experience framerate drops. We are currently investigating the cause. In the meantime, If you experience significant framerate drops, you may be able to resolve it by setting the graphics settings from the default “High” to “Medium” or “Low” and lowering the screen resolution, as well as installing the latest drivers for your graphics card.”

FromSoftware has also issued a troubleshooting advice for players on the PC platform:

–    If issues such as being unable to start the game occur on the PC version, they can sometimes be resolved by performing the following steps in Steam:

Go to “Library” > right-click on “ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN” > select “Properties” > select “Installed Files” > and execute “Verify Integrity of Game Files.”

So if you’re currently having any issues in the game, make sure to try this official troubleshooting advice from the devs to check whether the problems get resolved or not.

Elden Ring Nightreign

Elden Ring Nightreign has also received it’s first patch 1.01 aiming to fix some of the performance problems players are currently having, besides improving some general gameplay related stuff along with bug fixes. Check out all the patch notes below:

  • Improved handling of playable characters
  • Soundtrack addition and adjustments
  • Text adjustments
  • Balance adjustments
  • Added character scenarios
  • Bug fixes

And while it’s certainly unfortunate to see Elden Ring Nightreign being hit with severe performance related issues right out of the bat upon it’s launch, hopefully the devs manage to iron out all of them swiftly.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
