REPEATER is an upcoming game that blends looping spaces with arena shooters. We already talked about this one before in a previous news article. Today, we bring news that the game is currently holding a private beta test, which you can participate in if you complete the linked form. This new arena shooter experience is quite the unique experience, bringing a blend of new ideas uncommon to the genre. I’ve praised the ingenious nature of this game before, and I truly wish to see it succeed. We aren’t sure of how the selection process goes, due to it being private beta test, but if you are lucky to enter, let us know what you see.

REPEATER finally has a beta test

It is nice too see a change of pace in the Arena Shooter genre, especially one that brings such inventive concepts to the table. The skill expression of players will rise to heights never seen before due to the new mechanics introduced in this. Mobility will play a key role in the competitive scene, provided it happens someday, and it will be the difference between winning and losing.

People will enjoy a breath of fresh air when it comes to an old genre, and indie games are special when it comes to revitalizing previously used ideas. REPEATER is going to be an interesting hit to behold, and we hope it does not get overshadowed by other titles. The indie scene is filled with amazing ideas, but only a few manage to get the recognition they deserve because there’s so many of them.

Nowadays, the line of making publicity for your own projects is being muddied by spam and bots, and we unfortunately don’t know when will this era end. There is plenty of alternatives to garner a successful user base, provided you know what you are doing. We are sure that the dev of REPEATER knows about this.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
