PlayStation 5 will host the release of Days Gone Remastered by Bend Studio on April 25, and it will come with a series of improvements and accessibility features, such as several new graphics and gameplay elements. The 2019 game remaster will provide both veteran players and newcomers with an improved, accessible gaming experience in Oregon’s post-apocalyptic environment.

As seen in the PlayStation blog, one of the biggest positives of Days Gone Remastered is the emphasis on accessibility. Bend Studio has added multiple customizable features to allow the game to be played by more players. Included are 11 color options for subtitles and a fully customizable High Contrast Mode to enhance visibility. The audio within the game has also been greatly overhauled with UI Narration and Collectible Audio Cues to help players find hidden items. These sound effects will also make their way onto the DualSense controller’s speaker, adding an extra layer of immersion.

In addition to accessibility enhancements, Days Gone Remastered also has other graphical enhancements. Such as shadow detail refinement, more advanced lighting, additional depth of fog, and larger enemy hordes are waiting for the players. Horde Assault mode especially will now include up to 800 enemies merged into one force, and highly combative combat sequences.

For PC gamers, Bend Studio is also releasing the Days Gone Broken Road DLC on Steam on April 25. The DLC will be the PC version of the PS5 remaster, with support for DualSense controllers, improved photo mode, and both Permadeath and Horde Assault modes.

Whereas the initial Days Gone was met with mixed reviews on its initial release, with the game being criticized for bugs and mission design, Days Gone Remastered aims to fix these faults and offer a better and smoother experience. With its new set of features and enhancements, Days Gone Remastered aims to boost the game.
