Now available to early access subscribers, WWE 2K25 has seen some observant fans find absurd misspellings on some superstars’ gear. The new installment in the revered wrestling franchise officially drops March 14, but preorders of the Deadman or Bloodline edition are already in the ring—and finding weird graphical glitches.
Typos on CM Punk and AJ Styles’ Clothing
One of the most egregious mishaps is CM Punk’s classic “Best in the World” tee. As noted by Reddit commenter whomtheheckcares, in-game the shirt reads instead, “Best im the World.” The same problem exists on AJ Styles’ classic “Phenomenal One” icon being shown on his ring attire as “Phenomenal Ons.” Fans have been stumped by such blatant mistakes and how they ended up in the final release of the game.
AI Error or Human Malfunction?
The typos were a burning subject of debate amongst the WWE 2K25 community. A few have even suggested that typos are AI upscaling and the developers likely used artificial intelligence to upscale textures, which made the letters become distorted unintentionally. There also are those suggesting that typos might be due to rushed development or miscalculated human error. It was pointed out by some of the fans that the real CM Punk’s shirt has a stylized font as well, which possibly caused misjudgment.
Not the Only Typos
These are not the only typos that are annoying WWE 2K25 players. There are also reported spelling mistakes in fan comments for MyGM mode, contributing to the long list of small but frustrating errors. Interestingly, these problems also affected WWE 2K24 but were later addressed, leaving gamers hoping that Visual Concepts will address these mistakes with a future patch.
With the game to be launched for everyone on March 14, more bugs can be exposed. Whether or not they stick in the final build or get addressed immediately is yet to be determined, but at least for the time being, WWE 2K25 is showing that even the minutest of things can generate ginormous hype among gamers.
