The upcoming WWE 2K25 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious and exciting entries in the long running series of games and recently the game’s Creative Director Lynell Jinks talked to Shacknews on several key features of the hotly anticipated title including the graphical improvements on both current and earlier generation of systems, several brand new and returning gameplay features, the massive roster of characters and more. Developer interviews like this are always delightful to read for all fans of the games, so if you’re looking forward to playing WWE 2K25, you’ll love the full interview.

When asked what new feature has him most excited regarding WWE 2K25, he promptly stated that the camera angles for the upcoming game during the entrances of the Superstars are a highlight and offers a fresh perspective on the action that players have not seen before.

“We’ve added so much. I’m a graphics snob at heart. I’m a former art director, so I hate to say it, but the camera in entrances and during gameplay. You get a totally different perspective of the game that you haven’t seen before. My favorite thing to do during entrances is put that camera right behind somebody, get that perspective of, this is what it feels like to live in this Superstar’s shoes and embody their persona. I love it.”

“And just kind of looking around, doing the cool drone cam effect that they’re doing on Raw right now. That’s really cool, and during matches, it adds a different element to gameplay. Being able to see the environment, or even climbing up on the Hell in a Cell and look down on what’s going on in the ring. There are so many different perspectives of the game that it kind of opens it up to a broader experience.”

He also opened up on several new visual technologies that have been implemented in WWE 2K25, including more realistic renderings of hair and other facial features.

“We have so many good-looking characters in our game right now. I will say if I were to look at Dom’s moustache and his hair, I think it sets a new benchmark for hair in our game and just the simulation.”

WWE 2K25 is also set to enhance the gameplay of the series by making several new additions such as providing an extra ‘armor’ bar for Giant Superstars such as The Big Show or Braun Strowman, which makes them resistant to certain in-game attacks. And only after depleting that bar can they be grappled and roped in like other normal wrestlers. Then there’s also the revamped Chain Wrestling mechanic which offers a deeper and more engaging experience to players.

WWE 2K25 launches on March 14 for the Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 4, Xbox One and the PC platform.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
