Another one of the few PlayStation 5 exclusives bites the dust. Stellar Blade will be optimized and it is clear that its heading to Steam very soon. There will be optimizations done for that to happen. The PC crowd is eating very good, and so is the Linux clan. Valve is gaining a lot of traction lately, bring the PC gaming scene with full force at the front. As consoles keep being overpriced for a few games, PCs will remain dominant in the market. We at Infinite Start will discuss what this means for Stellar Blade.
Stellar Performance
Consoles are basically just a PC without a lot of the important features. In fact, you don’t even own your consoles anymore, there is no proper right to repair or mod them however you want. Once the online service holding everything up goes down, its as good as dead, unless you go through questionable and tough routes. It is crazy that people need to mod their own computers to keep playing their games, but so is the modern console crowd. Long gone are the days of owning a system, buying a game, and it being complete and yours.
Stellar Blade was another title on the very small list of exclusives Sony has. And it seems like its coming to PC soon and Linux users will be the benchmark. It is amazing to see focus shifting for this sort of PC ports, being focused on Microsoft’s service is outdated nowadays. It is important to opt for the platform that will hold the biggest user base int he future, and as long as Windows keeps breaking, that user base will be Linux users.
By doing this, Stellar Blade will grow more popular with the masses and its sales will boost too, by not being constrained to an unnecessary system. Many people will be able to enjoy and mod a lot of the game’s content too.
