Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl Patch 1.2 to include over 1700 fixes and improvements

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is set to get a huge patch 1.2 aimed to include as many as 1700 fixes and improvements for the 2024 survival horror first person shooter ranging from balance issues, crashes and performance problems to tons of in-game bugs and other issues. Needless to say that it’s an essential update for all players of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl as it brings massive amounts of polish and refinements into the game.

The new patch also includes lots of significant improvements to it’s A-Life 2.0 system which is a key feature of the game that impacts A.I behavior and actions in the game world. Aimed at providing a realistic and natural depiction of NPC actions that can work independently of the player. Developer GSC Game World had said that the A-Life 2.0 would help make the world of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl feel alive like never seen in a videogame before and will make way for emergent gameplay on a moment-to-moment basis.

But after the game came out many players complained that the system didn’t work nearly as well as it was advertised, with the devs vowing to fix it completely via a patch, which is definitely what the new patch 1.2 aims to be.

Below are some of the fixes included in patch 1.2.

  • Improved corpse looting behavior for NPCs.
  • Fixed an issue where NPCs could loot body armor and helmets from corpses.
  • Fixed an issue where NPCs could not loot the corpses of NPCs from another faction.
  • Fixed NPC Shooting Accuracy.
