Dungeons of Hinterberg

Another former Xbox exclusive is coming to PlayStation. Dungeons of Hinterberg, the stylish action RPG from Microbird Games, has been announced to officially launch on PS5 on March 13, 2025. Originally released for Xbox Series X/S and PC in July 2024, this marks another step in Microsoft’s ongoing strategy of bringing more of its games to rival platforms.

A Growing Trend of Multiplatform Xbox Titles

Microsoft has been a bit looser with the exclusivity of late, publishing a number of its first-party and third-party games on PlayStation, and now Dungeons of Hinterberg is added to a roster of Xbox titles making the jump, such as Hi-Fi Rush and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Only recently, Forza Horizon 5 was also confirmed for PS5, with rumors continuing to swirl around the potential PlayStation debuts of Halo and Gears of War.

New Content for the PS5 Version

Fans picking up Dungeons of Hunter Berg on PS5 will also get a little extra. If reports from Push Square are to be believed, the game’s PlayStation version will boast a “new, secret bonus episode” not found in the original. Sure enough, this would be part of a growing trend that has seen former Xbox exclusives receive additional content when they finally make it to PlayStation.

A Strong Indie Addition to the PS5 Library

Dungeons of Hinterberg originally launched to an 81 average score on OpenCritic. A mix of action combat and puzzle-solving, all wrapped in a visually stunning art style, made it one of the standouts among indies. Now, more players will experience its world- and with extra content to make it even more worth their time-on PS5.

With Dungeons of Hinterberg officially joining PlayStation’s lineup this March, it’s clear things aren’t slowing down anytime soon for Xbox’s multiplatform approach. The big question now? Which Xbox title will be next.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
