In a recent article detailing the game’s Season 2, Activision and Treyarch announced the coming of a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 X The Terminator crossover which would feature noteworthy characters and cosmetics from the franchise, alongside new maps, modes, and content updates following its launch on January 28, 2025.
The Terminator Tracer Pack, which offers two skins inspired by the T-800 cyborg made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Cameron, is more or less the centre of the crossover. The “Titanium Core” skin features the machine’s cold, glowing red-eyed visage, while the “T-800” skin captures Schwarzenegger’s likeness, although not an exact replica of his younger self.
The bundle also includes four Weapon Blueprints, a unique finishing move, the “Tracking…Tracking…” emote, and themed calling cards and emblems. The crossover doesn’t stop there. From February 6 to February 20, players across Warzone, Multiplayer, and Zombies modes can take part in The Terminator event. By collecting skulls while playing, participants can unlock up to 13 rewards. This event is part of a packed schedule that also includes the Shadow Hunt event and the St. Patrick’s Day-themed Clover Craze, promising even more unlockable upgrades through February and March.
This isn’t the first time Call of Duty has collaborated with movie franchises in pop culture. Season 1’s Squid Game crossover introduced Young-hee and Pink Guards bundles, which, despite some criticism for being locked behind a premium battle pass, proved popular with fans. Similarly, The Terminator collaboration is expected to draw significant interest, blending nostalgia with exciting in-game rewards.
In addition to the Terminator crossover content, Black Ops 6’s Season 2 will feature new maps, modes, weapons, and a few gameplay adjustments. Activision and Treyarch plan to reveal further updates, including details on the Season 2 Reloaded patch, in the coming weeks.
