Project Zomboid update makes big improvements to the game

Project Zomboid update

The new Project Zomboid Update has managed to improve basically the whole game. It was said for quite a while that the current build was quite unstable when it came to many aspects. Thankfully, there has been proper addressing of what needed to be done. We at Infinite Start will cover the new update.

Old is new

Project Zomboid has been out for more than a decade now, it is impressive to see how far it progressed. It is proof that it is usually better to just build concepts on top of what is already good. However, one can make the argument that doing such can get in the way of growth. Players like familiarity and it is important to respect your core player base, rather than trying to aim for a new group that is not interested.

Project Zomboid has managed to stay pure to its DNA, the new Project Zomboid update has balanced some things that irked players too. The most important one of them, however, will completely change the feel of the game. Loot tables have been updated, it is now possible to find guns more easily in places like the police storage. It was argued by the players that maybe looting for guns was more risky than it was worth it.

There has also been massive improvements to the code that fix bugs. Many graphical quirks of the game have been ironed out. Back then, it was possible to see your character twist a lot when trying to aim and rotate at the same time. New light effects have also been added to the engine, improving the looks of illumination.

This Project Zomboid update has been a boon to many players. Many appreciate the effort that went into producing this new update. Seems like The Indie Stone is always there to keep moving the project forward.
