Arch anomalies are the best things to witness in Stalker 2. Ranging from Bulba to Electro, most players just can’t get enough of these good-looking but deadly sightings. However, when it comes to getting the Weird Nut Artifact in Stalker 2, players would have to walk straight into one of the most dangerous Arch anomalies, the Fire Whirl, which can be found in the Cooling Towers region.

To further explain, the Cooling Towers region is located north of the map inside an abandoned reactor. Most players have likely encountered the Bubbles, Bulba, and Electro anomalies. However, retrieving the legendary Weird Nut Artifact requires braving the fiery dangers of the Fire Whirl anomaly.

To get the Weird Nut Artifact in Stalker 2, players start by heading to the Cooling Towers region where the Fire Whirl anomaly is located. Players can find the region northeast of the Slag Heap base in Garbage. After passing through the Cement Factory base, which leads to the Fire Whirl’s location, players will find the anomaly just at the northeast corner of the region inside the abandoned reactor. The abandoned reactor glows red on the map, so it doesn’t take long to spot.

When players reach the Fire Whirl anomaly, they should head inside the reactor and climb to the top of all the nearby platforms to snatch the Weird Nut Artifact.

That said, climbing all those platforms isn’t going to be easy considering the fire all around the place caused by the Fire Whirl anomaly and the amount of heat released every few moments. Players and the environment can get burnt by the heat released within a specified radius. The radius can be identified by noticing the smoldering red metal of the platform.

Because of the dangers involved, below are the steps to take to safely climb past all those platforms and get to the Weird Nut Artifact in Stalker 2.

Firstly, if players fall from any of the metal platforms or get caught in the Fire Whirl’s heat release, they would quickly be taken out. With the identified dangers, players need to avoid both falling from the metal platforms and getting caught in the heat release.

As a precaution, players should frequently make quick saves to load them back in case something bad happens. That aside, here’s a breakdown that could take you safely to the Weird Nut Artifact in Stalker 2:

  • Enter the reactor from the right and wait for the heat to subside before starting your climb. Use the nearby ladders to ascend the platforms carefully.
  • Jump on the metal pipe and sprint through to the other side. When you reach the end, you are required to jump to the ladder on the right. Just before falling, grab the ladder to continue climbing higher.
  • When at the top, head towards the platform on the left. Wait for the heat release to dissolve from the Fire Whirl and make your way to the other side of the metal walkway by running across it.
  • You will find a gap at the end of the metal walkway just before the final stretch to the Weird Nut Artifact. Jump over this gap, and you’re good. The Weird Nut Artifact is just up ahead.

When you reach the end of the final walkway, drop onto the smoldering hot platform, and you’ll see the glowing Weird Nut Artifact on top of the platform, waiting to be picked up. Quickly take it, and you’ll have it in your collection.

However, you need to get back down from where you came, which isn’t an easy task because you still have to avoid the heat release from the Fire Whirl and avoid falling from the metal platforms. To avoid losing the Weird Nut Artifact, endeavor to quickly save your game to reload if unexpected accidents occur.

That said, there’s a rather easy way to get back safely to the ground. Jumping down to the metal platforms behind you would only lead to a fatal fall. After retrieving the Weird Nut Artifact, look to the left where you’ll see a metal grill with a hole that leads safely to the ground. Simply drop onto the metal grill and into the hole. Then quickly evacuate the reactor to avoid the next heat release from the Fire Whirl.

The Weird Nut Artifact in Stalker 2 is indeed a worthy find despite the dangerous procedures required to obtain it. It’s powerful enough to mitigate the effects of bleeding significantly. It can be equipped immediately after acquiring it from the Cooling Towers region. However, there’s a trade-off for slow health recovery when using a medkit equipped with the Weird Nut Artifact. Nonetheless, it’s a valuable artifact to have in the game.
