In honor of PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, which occurred on Dec. 3, a wide variety of PlayStation Stars collectibles were added.
The most notable addition is two Polygon Man collectibles. Long standing fans might recall marketing materials featuring the character back in ’95 before being discontinued. This was also something teased two years ago at the Sept. 2022 State of Play. He was briefly shown, featuring a different base that was common for collectibles back then, and something fans have wanted for a while.
To unlock these collectibles players need to boot specific game(s). This can be done by cracking the code, which reddit users are working hard on doing, or can be solved by just clicking the link.

- The Last of Us Part II
Polygon Man
- Mister Mosquito
- Jet Moto 2
- Time Splitters
- Dark Cloud
- Jumping Flash
- Okage: Shadow King
In terms of the collectible itself, there are a couple minute differences. Polygon Man is a Legendary collectible, and a red/black base. The Variant is a tier lower at Heroic, has a different message, and the base is black/white. In addition to this, Polygon Man requires players to play every game from the list, whereas the Variant only requires one. This might seem like a big ask, though anyone with PlayStation Plus Extra or better can earn both collectibles.
The remaining collectibles are memory cards celebrating PlayStation 1, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable/Vita, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. It isn’t clear why there isn’t a PlayStation 3 version, though it might be a simple mistake. Each of these can be unlocked by simply playing one of the listed games.
A special 30th Anniversary Sale promotion is also available. By buying Gran Turismo 7, The Last of Us Part 1, or Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy players will earn an additional 200 points. These can be used towards games, cash, or a variety of 30th Anniversary collectibles in the shop.
Each digital collectible is 400 points, with options including Tech Demo mat, Dinosaur tech demo, or Manta ray. Various controllers are also available for 450 points.
