Throne and Liberty has been live in Korea since the end of 2023, but the rest of the world has been sitting on standby for their turn to dive into the next MMO to be localized by Amazon Games—the Amazon division responsible for the survival MMORPG New World also localized the Korean MMO aRPG Lost Ark in 2019. Finally, Amazon Games and NCSOFT have announced that Throne and Liberty will be debuting in North and South America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan on September 17, 2024.
The global launch of the highly-anticipated free-to-play MMO will also come packed with day-one crossplatform play between PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, ensuring that there are minimal barriers preventing players from getting their in-game parties, clans, etc. sorted.
Head of Third-Party Publishing at Amazon Games, Merv Lee Kwai, provided a statement of his own to accompany today’s announcement:
On behalf of Amazon Games and NCSOFT, I’m proud to announce that THRONE AND LIBERTY will launch on September 17, 2024. We all know fans around the world have been eagerly waiting for news on when they can jump into the game.We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on, and invite you to experience it all for yourself when the game launches this September.
That’s not all! Amazon Games also took the moment to announce an open beta for Throne and Liberty that will span all platforms. Starting July 18th, players can download the open beta test build from their preferred platform’s digital storefront. The open beta will conclude on July 23rd.
