Sony Reportedly Cuts PSVR 2 Development Funds

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is reportedly reducing its investment in the PSVR 2 headset. This comes less than two years after its release. Anonymous sources told Android Central that SIE is scaling back on funding for the headset. Currently, only two first-party games are in development for the PSVR 2.

Sony Reportedly Cuts PSVR 2 Development Funds

Despite the cutbacks, there are still many games available for PSVR 2, thanks to strong third-party support. However, Sony has not officially announced any changes to the funding of PSVR 2. Therefore, this information should be taken cautiously.

Sony is preparing to launch the PSVR 2 PC adapter in early August. This move aims to expand the headset’s user base by allowing players to access VR games on their PCs. This indicates that Sony is still committed to promoting the hardware.
