Square Enix revealed the highly anticipated second Final Fantasy XVI story expansion, The Rising Tide, will release on Apr. 18.
Final Fantasy XVI: The Rising Tide introduces a captivating new storyline centered around Leviathan, the long-lost Eikon of Water. Fans can expect entirely new area to explore within the clandestine realm of Mysidia, delving deep into the tragic history of its forgotten inhabitants. Alongside this, players will encounter a new ally, as well as confronting formidable new adversaries, such as a special Tonberry variant.
This expansion also includes a new endgame feature titled Kairos Gate. This event challenges players to navigate through 20 increasingly difficult stages, earning points to enhance Clive’s abilities, acquire new materials for crafting weapons, and unlock additional content.
