Applications for Duet Night Abyss' Technical Test are Now Open 3453

Hero Games announced a technical test for their highly anticipated action RPG, Duet Night Abyss.

From Mar. 15 until Mar. 22 players will be able to go to the official site, and register for the PC technical test. Those determined to participate in the technical test can further increase their chances by checking out their X (formerly Twitter) page, or through An Invitation from the Demonic Lunarian page.

Applications for Duet Night Abyss' Technical Test are Now Open 3453

Those who try their luck with An Invitation from the Demonic Lunarian have the chance to instantly gain access, win a character mousepad, or standee. Unfortunately, odds were not published, but I can say we personally struck out on everything.

For anyone unsure about Duet Night Abyss can find the official trailer above, and initial overview below.

About Duet Night Abyss

Recently unveiled by HERO GAMES, Duet Night Abyss is a highly anticipated cross-platform title set for a global release on both PC and mobile devices. This fantasy adventure RPG delivers a surprisingly high level of freedom in a world where magic and technology coexist.

Its premiere trailer earlier revealed diverse combat mechanics that allow players to seamlessly switch between melee and ranged weapons for chances of a thrilling victory even when outnumbered, and a freeform movement system allowing players to swiftly navigate through any space in the game. The engaging gameplay, strategic combat, stunning visuals, and captivating music of Duet Night Abyss have garnered widespread attention and acclaim worldwide.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
