Maono updated their website to tease two upcoming microphones, PD200X, and DM20.
What is interesting about both products is the name suggests they’re lower end versions of their existing PD400X, and DM30 microphones.
Unfortunately, no information was given on either microphone, but the teaser images offer a couple clues.
The image confirms PD200X will retain the XLR/USB functionality found on PD400X, but not PD100. It features an anti-shock mount, potentially suggesting it will not include a base.
Preview images for DM20 also show an anti-shock mount, with their Facebook teaser asking fans to guess the color. This implies we will see a range like their existing DM30 models, though how expansive is anyone’s guess. The move to anti-shock also makes a lot of sense, as one of the biggest competitors, HyperX, uses that on their DuoCast and QuadCast microphones.
No date was given for the reveal, but it will most likely happen in three to four weeks. It’s possible PD200X will also start life as a Kickstarter product, something they did with PD400X last year. Whatever the answer might be, make sure to check back for more information as it arises.
