After a really strong start, the past couple of months have been rather slow. Between a lack of major releases, several other games taking a backseat and more, players have revisited a number of classics or missed recent releases. While things are not in full swing this June, there are many notable releases.
At this point Diablo Immortal is something of a joke. The mobile and PC title was set to release sometime back, but criticism and other changes sent it to limbo. Now, after years of waiting, players can finally see if it meets expectations or not.
The highly anticipated Monster Hunter Rise expansion, Sunbreak, explodes on Switch with new monsters and things to hunt. This looks to be a really good expansion and it will be exciting to see if it lives up to the expectations or falls short.
After years of waiting the final Cuphead DLC is set to release. It has been a long journey, with the franchise doing extremely well long term, with this release looking to be well worth the wait. If nothing else, it should bring things to a delightful close.
Fans of the Nintendo Mario sports games rejoice, Mario Strikers: Battle League hits Switch later this month. With a new platform, different ideas and something of a void in the space, this could really be a massive hit if everything goes just right.
PC players will finally have a chance to play Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which revamps the latest two titles in the franchise. With it offering closure on Nathan Drake’s story, along with a fun side adventure, it really is a must if you haven’t already checked them out.
Outriders has come a long way since the original release last year. With the Worldslayer expansion looking to add tons of new gear, content and experiences it’s the perfect opportunity to return or at least revisit the original.
If one exclusive Dynasty Warriors title wasn’t enough, Switch gets another this month. Returning to the beloved world of Fire Emblem, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes should build on the already fantastic base of the original.
Some have already taken to calling The Quarry names like Until Dawn 2. Given the same developer did both and their history with these titles it might be the next big title in the genre.
The latest Elder Scrolls Online expansion, High Isle, gives players a lot to do in this new location and story. Given the online experience has released multiple fantastic experiences we’re sure this will be something fans of the title will want to keep an eye on, if only to remain geared for the top tier content.
When Disgaea 6 hit the west it was exclusive to Switch. Now, sometime later, it’s back with all of its DLC for PlayStation and PC platforms. With the latest title offering the same humor and even bigger numbers, it’s a must for anyone who missed out on the first release.
Unlike a lot of the classic ports we see, Capcom Fighting Collection brings some long forgotten arcade titles to modern consoles. This is a fantastic way to see where a number of weird characters from their various crossovers came from or just play some of the more iconic games games.
Souldiers is a rather unusual indie game. It’s based off classic experiences, along with interesting experiences, with the main defining feature being difficulty. In our review we found it often came at the expense of the experience, turning every turn into more hassle than it was worth, but there are some that will find the challenge refreshing. If nothing else, it’s a really well crafted and interesting game that forces players to come up with strategies to win.
