How to defeat Daisoujou in Shin Megami Tensei V – Return of the True Demon DLC

The second demon in the Return of the True Demon DLC for Shin Megami Tensei V is no other than Daisoujou.

Unlike Matador being somewhat of a pushover, Daisoujou is somewhat challenging as it has a variety of attacks that you have to deal with. It’s recommended to fight Daisoujou at around level 30.

How to access the Return of the True Demon DLC:

After spending $9.99 for the Return of the True Demon DLC for Shin Megami Tensei V, Aogami will alert you in four of the areas of the game that he feels a presence of the demon. A quest marker (!) will appear on the map. Each of the ten demons available in the DLC is scattered throughout the game, with Daisoujou being another minimal threat enemy.

Where to find Daisoujou?

Daisoujou is located on top of the overpass in Shinagawa. Go to the Leyline Fount and fast travel to Tennozu. Look for purple lightning just above you from the Leyline Fount. Head inside the other dimension to meet Daisoujou and watch a brief cutscene with the boss.

How to defeat Daisoujou in Shin Megami Tensei V?

Daisoujou is a level 30 fiend that is weak to fire-based attacks. The fiend is immune to light and dark. It is best to bring a party of demons that has medium Agi spells to deal massive damage to the boss and get an extra turn.

For the most part of the battle, Daisoujou uses almighty attacks. Be sure that none of your party is weak against light, dark, and almighty attacks as they can instantly kill you. His Magatsuhi Skill can either be Mahama or Preach + 3 that inflicts status ailment to your party.

Rewards

After the defeat of Daisoujou, you will receive the Menorah of Eternity. The boss can also be obtained through Special Fusion with Sophia in the World of Shadows.
