The upcoming open world action RPG Crimson Desert, which is scheduled to release on March 20, is steadily shaping up to be one of the most ambitious and sought after titles in recent years and the fact that the game has already reached a staggering three million wishlists on Steam is a testament to this. The numbers clearly highlight a strong sense of excitement building up around Crimson Desert which developer Pearl Abyss has acknowledged and thanked the players for in a recent post on Twitter/X.
“A huge thank you for making #CrimsonDesert one of your most anticipated games. We’re in the final countdown to March 19—prepare yourselves for the world of Pywel!”
And based on the games that have come out on the last few years, it’s pretty easy to see why many players are eagerly waiting for Crimson Desert–the game’s looking up to be similar to massive open world titles like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Skyrim but with stellar combat mechanics, a blend that hasn’t really been seen in the industry in a long time. So Crimson Desert is definitely looking to fill a void that’s been there in the current era of gaming for quite some time and that really explains the huge anticipation built around the title.
Also, another aspect that will be greatly appreciated by many players is Crimson Desert is confirmed to be optimized at launch which means if you meet the game’s official system requirements, you’re pretty much guaranteed to have a great time playing.
Also, the upcoming Crimson Desert’s world may just be the biggest to have ever come out of gaming, on this side of GTA 6, of course. But it’s significantly larger than the world we saw in Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 and about twice as big as Bethesda’s Skyrim, which is a mighty impressive feat on many accounts.
Crimson Desert’s official PC system requirements have been revealed couple days ago so check out what you’ll need to run the game at both minimum and recommended quality settings.
