The Nintendo Switch 2 is having some growing pains due to pricing and current lack of titles, however when it comes to preservation and emulation this machine delivers. Upon the announcement of Arcade Archives 2, a new project arose from the shadows, that being Console Archives which will be primarily based on archiving games from consoles. We are kicking it off with classics like Ninja Gaiden 2 on NES and Cool Boarders, yet we also got a glimpse of what the future will bring to us in the coming months. If you are a true retro game fan you may wanna keep reading on for these reveals.
Nintendo Switch 2 gets bigger
Among the games revealed, Doraemon is one that happens to be a classic for the Famicom in Japan, but there’s an even bigger surprise that wasn’t even mentioned in the trailer but only shown. That is Monster Rancher Hop-a-Bout, an unexpected spinoff of the Monster Rancher series that released on the PS1 way back in the 90s. What is funny about this reveal is the fact that this might be a test for fans of the series to see if they are willing to buy any shred of the franchise no matter what.
The Nintendo Switch 2 still has a long way to go, and while revealing old games isn’t that tempting for those who already have the know how on running them, its still a neat touch that might sell the console to someone who yearns for the golden years of gaming. Sonic Wings Special is also another amazing reveal on the lineup that should come as soon as possible, fans of the genre see this as quite the amazing game to have, and its genuinely a pretty good PS1 Shoot em up. Perhaps these games might make you consider getting a Nintendo Switch 2.
