Motion Twin is free to choose what projects to tackle, especially after a current interview. Dead Cells has been a PC game sensation back in the day, and people love to keep playing it. Despite development ceasing for the popular title, it has already accrued a community around it that will live on no matter what, and this is what matters the most when trying to make a game, leaving a legacy. Motion Twin states that working on Windblown is their utmost priority and they need to get everything done correctly to ensure the game succeeds and becomes their next big hit.
Motion Twin is right
Making video games is very complicated, but its a rewarding experience when you place your own creativity into every project. The best game designers try to create new ideas that haven’t been tried before without being bond by perfectionism. Perfection does not really exist in the gaming world, and while there’s some 2025 titles such as Earthion that strives to reach for it, not even Earthion is perfect. Indie developers always give their best to create something new and that feels good to play, and for that we have to thank all of them who put effort into doing so.
The industry is on a dire situation, creativity is stagnated and with the rise of generative “AI” this problem will only get worse. We already have some obviously bribed industry small fry trying to peddle this snake oil. The separation between a good and a bad game will be entirely based on merit and effort, those who use “AI” to do anything related to game development would have already failed. With all the time being spent in attempting, one could get the skills by actually trying to learn themselves, yet here we are, risking everything. Motion Twin is smart and will not use any of these supposed shortcuts to cost cut Windblown.
