Escape From Duckov

Escape From Duckov has sold very well, accruing a total of 500k copies in less than a week, the news are amazing for everyone and the developers too. If you want to play a single player PC title, this is your chance to grab it as it currently sits in a very comfortable discount. Indie developers always come up with the most unhinged ideas and creativity is always on their side, they just lack the ability to publicize what they do and this is why I’m covering news on indie games that are worth it. If you wanna be one of the 500k players in Escape From Duckov, go and grab the game now.

Escape From Duckov is another indie success

Escape From Duckov has surprised many with its competent and fun gameplay loop, to the point it has caused people to buy into it. Youtubers are always a big driving force behind these sort of pushes, and this can be both a blessing and a curse. Sometimes, they pick amazing games that deserve being covered, while other times they will just play slop to laugh at it, causing sales targets to be met even when it wasn’t meant to happen. It only takes one popular media person to make a game blow up and studios know this very well.

We live in a time where games are being developed with this in mind, and we can define them as the streamer game era. Some games aren’t even made for gamers themselves, but for streamers to jump into and have a quick fad to take advantage of. This generates a particular feedback loop of people buying into it, generating sales for a project that might be just a fun experiment rather than something big. Games were always little experiments, but I sure miss the time when quality titles were a must.
