According to a new report from Alinea Analytics, the recently released Battlefield 6 has already sold over 6.5 million units since it came out this past week which means EA’s flagship shooter is doing exceedingly well as most players had expected it to be. Alinea estimates that by now, Battlefield 6 had “over 6.5 million units sold through in its first few days across PC and console” which also translates to over $350 million in gross revenue so far. And as impressive as those numbers already are, they are sure to become way higher in the coming weeks and months as the game reaches more players worldwide.
Out of all it’s sales numbers, over 3.5 million copies of Battlefield 6 were sold through Steam with a total of $220 million in revenue. Among it’s total sales, players on the PS5 account for 23.7% with over 1.5 million copies sold and the Xbox Series X|S systems consist of 19.6% of overall sales, which translates to more than 1.2 million copies sold so far.
Battlefield 6 is also currently enjoying between 2.3 million and 2.5 million daily active players on Steam and around a million on the Sony platform as well. These massive numbers clearly indicate a significant interest among players of the first person shooter genre in the game which proves all of EA’s efforts with the Battlefield Labs initiative and more have truly paid off in spectacular ways.
EA has thrown down the Gauntlet with Battlefield 6 and the shooter is performing just as phenomenally as it’s open beta had indicated and now it’d be interesting to see what their rival Activision brings with their upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 as it releases next month. Also, looks like Activision giving away free trials for Black Ops 6 during Battlefield 6’s launch week completely failed to make any dent among the fps fans regarding overall interest in EA’s title.
