Fremont is a new breed of APU that will get officially unveiled very soon. PC gamers will know that Valve means business when they themselves have gotten into the market for hardware, I really think a Steam Deck 2 is coming, or perhaps a new Mini PC type of deal with hit the stores, who really knows in the end. True gamers know that all of the hardware is basically just different kinds of PC’s nowadays, there’s nothing really special about it all, since every single platform has the same games. We at Infinite Start will cover this new development from Valve’s headquarters.
Fremont might appear in a new Steam Deck
Fremont might change the world of hardware with its Zen 4 architecture, maybe, we all know that Valve is trying to do, and it seems that the current Steam Deck will get rotated out of the way to sell us a new one that packs more punch. This is the basic hardware market at its core, sell new stuff that you probably don’t need, and make all the hardware for it instead of focusing on optimized code and compatibility. Back in the day, computing was so much better, and they actually seemed to care about trying to make games run in most hardware.
Now, you will be hard pressed to find a game that runs like butter in the triple A space by using 10 year old hardware. Back in the day this was the norm, no matter how much gaslighting is going on nowadays with hardware companies. The MSX was a standard that lasted for more than a decade, and it always used the trusty Z80 processor for everything. The games in there are actually more engaging than whatever one can see nowadays if I have to be honest. There really was a soul to making games in the past, will Fremont bring this stability back? Or is it just a ploy to sell more silicon?
