Battlefield 6 is the only game that remains serious so far when it comes to shooters, they have revealed they want to keep the aesthetic intact for the PC game. People are already claiming that this is ludicrous because EA Games would be the first ones to sell themselves to doing something as crazy as Beavis and Butthead skins. We live in unprecedented times with gaming, ones where literally everything merges with everything, as artistic vision collapses in the bigger companies that don’t care about that. We at Infinite Start laugh at studios when they sell their identity.
Battlefield 6 might be messy
There’s no guarantees that down the line, Battlefield 6 will be just like Call of Duty, and eventually everything shall be Fortnified to oblivion. Even Magic the Gathering is suffering that fate, we will soon see a popular blue hedgehog reach the infamous card game, marking yet another weird and detached crossover. When one consumes without thinking, this is what is happening, as companies scurry across the legal bounds to secure other franchises to get you to buy their products. Doing that however, they lose their identity, and Battlefield 6 looks like another game that won’t feel like the original Battlefield people once knew.
Games change, yes, but drastic changes happening in a numbered series can alienate many fans, especially if they are done early on. It is not as if these corporations cared about providing quality however, they just wanna drain every cent from us until they have made enough to accomplish their ever fleeting financial goals. There is no limit to greed because there’s no limit to money, so the best way to give a scare to these companies is by preventing them from getting any bit of money. We need to show them that they need us, but we don’t need them.
