Final Fantasy 14 Moogle Treasure Trove Event Rewards

Final Fantasy 14 Moogle Treasure Trove Event Coming Back on February 26

Square Enix has revealed the return of Final Fantasy 14’s Moogle Treasure Trove event, providing players with a second chance to acquire rare rewards before the upcoming Seekers of Eternity content update. The event, titled The Hunt for Phantasmagoria, begins on February 26 and will last almost four weeks, enabling players to acquire Irregular Tomestones to exchange for unique items.

How the Moogle Treasure Trove Works

Moogle Treasure Trove is a repeatable event in Final Fantasy 14, which is typically witnessed prior to large patches. Off-cycle Tomestones of Phantasmagoria are gained through the completion of specific activities, such as dungeons, alliance raids, and Ocean Fishing. The Tomestones can be traded for exclusive cosmetics, mounts, and other rewards by interacting with Itinerant Moogle NPCs in Ul’dah, Gridania, and Limsa Lominsa cities.

Previous events have provided temporary rewards such as the Donut Earring for The Hunt for Goetia last year in late 2024. This time, the very highly sought Paissa Earring will be the top-level reward for 100 Tomestones. The scarce mounts like the Shadow Gwiber and Legendary Kamuy, and the Queen’s Guard Barding for chocobos, will be included as well. Also, Inferno Jacket glam is coming back for the first time since The Hunt for Lore event of 2021.

Event Timeline and Challenges

The Moogle Treasure Trove event will come live shortly after Final Fantasy 14 Patch 7.18 on February 25, including an Instax collaboration. Tomestones may be obtained from completing different challenges in the Mogpendium, including:

  • Weekly Objectives & MiniMog Challenges – Recycled every week, with Tomestone rewards upon regular intervals.
  • Ultimog Challenge – A challenge with a big Tomestone reward.

Since Patch 7.2 is coming out in late March, The Hunt for Phantasmagoria will probably close on March 25, providing players with sufficient time to collect Tomestones and trade in their reward. With anticipation for the Seekers of Eternity update, Final Fantasy 14 enthusiasts will have much to do in the coming weeks.
