Rainbow Six Extraction has officially released the Archaean threat, infecting platforms worldwide. Current and prospective REACT operators may wish to bridge the gap between gaming ecosystems to round out their three-man teams against the parasitic monstrosities. While the industry has made large strides to a more inclusive gaming environment that has broken through long-standing barriers, crossplay is far from a certainty still.
As you prepare to go toe-to-toe with the alien threat, you likely want to know which of your friends you can rely on to join the fight. Fortunately, we have gathered the information directly from Ubisoft to empower you with the necessary knowledge before you dive into the boots of a REACT operator.
Does Rainbow Six Extraction Support Crossplay?
Yes, Rainbow Six Extraction supports crossplay. PC, PlayStation, and Xbox communities can come together as a united front against the Archaeans. The crossplay option is enabled by default and must be manually turned off for those not wanting to cross the threshold into another community’s player base.
Not only can you play with anyone regardless of platform, the 14-day Trial Version Buddy Pass is also without platform restriction. As a Rainbow Six Extraction owner, you can hand off the aforementioned pass to friends on completely separate systems. That said, the option to use the Buddy Pass has been delayed and will no longer be available at launch. Keep that in mind as you decide your early launch plans.
