PS5 emulation is still in a fledgling state, however, the massive advances shown by this video are quite an insane thing to look at. However you have to check the hardware it requires, and once you do then you really have to start saving up cause it isn’t inexpensive. The fact that Astro Bot is running on PC means that with some fine tuning, we can get the other 3 exclusives that might matter running on PC too. The fact that the console offers no reasons to buy it means that less people will be doing so, and emulation becomes a commodity that can help people play their legally owned games.
PS5 emulation advances
I never expected it would be so quick, but considering the PS5 is about to reach the end of its life to be replaced by the PS6, whose models are already being teased in blueprints, it makes sense. Hackers work very quick nowadays, and I can’t wait to see if this ends up being developed before Grand Theft Auto 6 comes out. It would even be rather insane if we can get that game running on this to spite RockStar and get some more footage out of it.
Alas, this is version 0.3.0, and when a developer pulls up triple numbers for versioning, you know that PS5 emulation really has a long way to go before becoming reliable or even affordable. Some might consider just buying the console, but when you analyze the value proposition your are getting, there really is no reason to get a PS5 anymore. When a console does not have exclusives, the only thing you are gonna get is a disappointed base of customers, and maybe a few people who don’t know how to build a PC by themselves. This is why PC keeps winning.
