The Steam Frame is a very important piece of hardware made by Valve, and it currently is being scalped with the most outrageous prices. This is honestly insane, but nothing about scalpers screams sanity considering how bad things have been getting everywhere they get their claws on. It truly is a sad thing to see, but the community isn’t giving up and they are fighting the scalpers back. The method is proving to be quite effective, because now, people are reporting Ebay or Steam accounts based on being able or not able to provide the receipt given by Steam, which is huge.

I feel like this will cause many of these scalpers to start questioning what they are doing, the best way is to report them to Ebay when they aren’t providing key information like their Steam ID. The more people keep pushing for this check, the more scalpers will be forced into a lose-lose situation where they either lose their Ebay account, or they lose their Valve account. This is a great thing because scalpers shouldn’t be left alive in this hobby, or any other hobby for that matter, after all they are a consequence of the grift based economy we live in.
Unfortunately, the Steam Frame crisis will continue in a different way because all of the hardware is hit by price increases tied to memory and hardware. Thanks to the current grift that LLMs are, there’s thousands of viable parts of gaming that are being used to create surveillance slop and other tools of oppression against humanity. Perhaps we should tell gamers that there is some tasty loot awaiting in the places were the grass does not grow, sort of incentivize them to go outside and touch grass in a way, maybe that way they can find affordable RAM.
