Jam City is shifting the spotlight back to the founders of Harry Potter’s legacy with an upcoming story event in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. Titled “The Girl Who Loved,” the upcoming Castle Chronicles narrative explores the early romance of James Potter and Lily Evans. Players will delve into Hogwarts’ past through a forgotten memento, gaining deeper insight into the relationship that ultimately shaped the wizarding world before the events of the main series unfolded.
The new story lead-in arrives alongside a busy September content slate for the mobile role-playing game. Players can look forward to two additional Special Adventures: “Magick Most Evile,” which takes players into the Restricted Section of the Hogwarts Library, and “Infelix Felicis,” an adventure centered around the school’s first annual Harvest Dance. Additionally, the main storyline continues this month with the launch of Volume 3, Chapter 7.
Jam City has also scheduled interactive events and reserve additions throughout the month. Starting September 7, a four-day challenge tasks players with locating Hogwarts Heads of Houses daily to earn unique in-game rewards. On September 9, the three-headed dog Cerberus will officially enter the Magical Creature Reserve, offering fans a nod to the iconic creature featured prominently in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
This content wave comes during a busy period for the broader franchise. Alongside regular updates for the mobile RPG, Avalanche Software continues active development on a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy, while HBO prepares for its live-action television adaptation debuting December 25. Together with ongoing updates across gaming platforms, fans have a steady stream of wizarding world content to look forward to in the coming years.
