Guns of Eschaton looks like a very wild game on PC, and it also got a very cool trailer showing us how this game plays out when you do it with friends. If you are a fan of first person shooter games, or a fan of the Souls-like genre, this game blends both concepts together to create something truly unique, something that people should check out. There is a ton of games releasing every day, and now thanks to Generative AI filtering for quality has become a very hard task if you are tied to algorithms. Yet, Guns of Eschaton is truly an amazing sight to behold.

We now it will be dropping in 2026, and many people are hyped about this release because nothing in the triple A world matters anymore. What keeps holding the industry together is man made indie projects and small budget games that fill the void of enjoyment left by soulless releases by huge mega corporations. All of this big corporations only want to replace the workforce because they see no value in any of us, so we need to push back by creating and being our own boss. There is a ton of concepts left to explore in the gaming world.
Guns of Eschaton is a shooter that focuses on the eldritchian aesthetic that characterizes the Dark Souls series, I feel like we are in for something unique provided we wait for the release to happen. Unique games like this are what we need, because producing games that appeal to nobody in particular has been a current and ugly trend that has been happening lately. I would hate to see the gaming world become a place where the most soulless of slop triumphs over genuine human creativity, thankfully we are still far from that.
