Rockstar Games has just announced an Extended look for their upcoming GTA 6 which is set to arrive on August 27 for Netflix and then make it’s way to Youtube for everyone else. So if you have a subscription to Netflix, you’ll be able to get a first look at some of the features of the most anticipated videogame of all time when it premiers on the platform at 3 PM ET on August 27, and will be available on Rockstar’s own Youtube channel at 9 PM ET on the same day.
However, there’s currently no information on what we’ll get to see on the Extended look for GTA 6, and knowing Rockstar, it seems unlikely that anything more will be revealed ahead of the actual event. However, it’s definitely exciting for all players as we’ll finally get something completely new from the open world behemoth as it’s already close to a year since we got the second trailer.
We also got to see an all-new cover-art for the game’s protagonist duo, Jason and Lucia, but nothing beyond that. Hopefully we get to see some real gameplay footage this time around, and find out just how GTA 6 aims to innovate on it’s predecessor when it comes to the shooting, driving and a myriad of other mechanics which will be part of the upcoming title. So far, we haven’t really seen anything except the insanely detailed world and environments which are beyond impressive, but it’s always the gameplay experience that a videogame is ultimately remembered for so here’s hoping the extended look finally gives us a taste of the gameplay in GTA 6.
The Standard edition of GTA 6 will cost $80 while the Ultimate edition comes with a price tag of $100 which also includes a whole array of unlockables ranging from bonus story missions to in-game items, equipment and additional customization. And while the prices are certainly steep for a videogame but when you consider the colossal production value of GTA 6, they do start to feel pretty reasonable.
GTA 6 is slated to launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026.
