Capcom has officially unveiled the Year 4 character roadmap for Street Fighter 6, headlined by a surprise crossover featuring Final Fantasy VII’s Tifa Lockhart. Announced during Geoff Keighley’s annual Summer Game Fest showcase, the crossover expands the fighting game’s roster beyond traditional Capcom properties. The reveal follows the conclusion of Year 3, which recently wrapped up its cycle after introducing Sagat, C. Viper, Alex, and Ingrid.
According to the official announcement, the incoming characters will roll out sequentially through late 2026 and early 2027. Tifa Lockhart is scheduled to arrive in early 2027, with promotional material teasing her arrival via a narrative link to the cosmic character Ingrid. While rumors of a Final Fantasy guest character had circulated within the fighting game community prior to the showcase, this confirmation marks a significant collaboration between Capcom and Square Enix.
Alongside the high-profile guest character, Capcom is introducing two entirely new fighters to the franchise: Yasmine and Arjun. Yasmine, who utilizes a curved knife in combat, is scheduled to debut first on August 3, 2026. She will be followed by Arjun, a wind-based fighter slated for an autumn 2026 release. The final character of the Year 4 pass is Bosch, the prominent rival character from the game’s single-player World Tour mode, who is scheduled to become playable in spring 2027.
The inclusion of Bosch comes amidst a shift in Capcom’s post-launch strategy for Street Fighter 6. The developer confirmed that Ingrid served as the final addition to the World Tour mode, signaling an end to narrative updates for that specific component. Consequently, the upcoming Year 4 DLC characters will not feature dedicated World Tour master segments, refocusing the game’s ongoing support primarily on its core competitive and arcade modes.
