Gunvolt Chronicles Luminous Avenger iX 3 gets an amazing reveal on PC, and we can expect this one to be yet another amazing game coming from the hands of Inti Creates, the company that basically forced Capcom to continue the Mega Man series, or else they would take the niche. Inti Creates is a very cool company who always tried a ton of new things in the early days of the PS1, providing interesting titles that were never before seen, but also exclusive to Japan. For years, they have been focused on creating meaningful titles that hit the right niches and the right people.

This reveal feels like it comes out of nowhere, but people have been seeking for more of this series. Back in the day when Azure Striker Gunvolt released, it felt like one of the best replacements to the Mega Man series, if not the best replacement. This prompted Capcom to start development on Mega Man 11 in 2018 seeing the massive success from this series, we have seen this behavior be a thing when Bomb Rush Cyberfunk released and Sega just decided to announce a new Jet Set Radio.
Companies, especially those that are big, need to but pushed with competition so they are forced to remove the dust from legacy IPs people miss. Gunvolt Chronicles Luminous Avenger iX 3 might be the thing that ends up causing Capcom to revisit the Mega Man X series, but considering they have their hands full with Mega Man Dual Override, I believe that this is just wishful thinking. As much as I would love to see a Mega Man X9 sometime in the future, I have a feeling we might never end up seeing anything from Mega Man that isn’t the classic series.
