Anomalith does look quite cool, this new PC survival horror is bathed in the vibes of the Showa Era and considering its a Japanese game we can be sure they will totally nail those down with precision and passion behind. We have to keep in mind the quality of output for Anomalith has been rather mixed, sometimes they have bangers and sometimes they produce unplayable games. However, this one looks to be on the side of a game that will feel amazing to play, even if it might have a more cheap vibe to it compared to other survival horror games in the market.
Anomalith gets revealed
It will be coming in October of this year, so people should mark that month because it will surely be a spooky one. Anomalith focuses more on psychological horror, so we might end up expecting something that is more similar to Silent Hill rather than Resident Evil. Hopefully its the former because I’m a sucker for games of that kind and we need some new blood into the genre considering Silent Hill has been fumbling lately. Indie games like this keep the medium living when triple A games fails us.
There’s not many details about the game so far, but judging from the images and store trailer there is a certain reminiscence to Resident Evil, at least when it comes to the menus. We play as Reona Minazuki, in a quest to save our missing friend from anomalies that invaded a mall, this phenomena is called Anomalization and it has been happening all across Japan. Your objective will be to save your friend, and also uncover the truth behind what’s really happening behind all of this. Is it an invention from your head? Or perhaps what’s happening is not an act of mass hysteria but real?
