The Subnautica 2 EULA is causing some huge controversy for the Subnautica community and even the gaming community as a whole. This is a huge affront towards the fact that people should own what they paid for, and at the same time it also shows that Krafton won’t rest until being completely purged from the gaming industry. This is a leftover remaining from when Krafton seized control of the game as a publisher, and they even show that they still seem to be co-publishing the game despite previous backlash associated with them. It is terrible that such a company still keeps going.
Subnautica 2 EULA is a mess
Thankfully the developers behind Subnautica have confirmed that they won’t be using any of the points against players anytime soon, and you aren’t really bound to any of them. While Krafton is still silent on this issue, we can trust the original creators of the game because they really aren’t evil like Krafton is. As a matter of fact, the developers themselves are victim of the slander brought upon them by Krafton, and then even had to have their own legal battle to recover the game and not be laid off.
The Subnautica 2 EULA might cause controversy but that does not mean that the game isn’t fun or worth it, in fact many are surprised with how good this one turned out to be despite being an early access game. As always, we still have to remember Krafton remains somewhere, so if you are doubtful on supporting that company perhaps you shouldn’t be buying this one. There’s many reasons not to support Krafton, but there’s also many reasons to support the original developers behind the game, especially if they pursue legal action against Krafton. Time will tell what will happen with the Subnautica 2 EULA.
