LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is quite the interesting launch, however even before it released it is facing many challenges. Reviewers claim that there’s issues with performance, however some say it works just fine in the right hardware but not everyone is rich. Now we are facing yet another issue, and that is the current inclusion of Denuvo that threatens to hamper the sales of the game. If they decide to go on with this sort of thing, which they will, then we can expect severe issues happening in the long run, including but not limited to the game under performing.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has problems
We really don’t know how those can be solved, but perhaps switching to an older version of Unreal Engine, and also removing any sort of DRM might end up helping with running these kinds of games on accessible hardware. I bet when this releases in console, it will be locked to subpar quality and a ton of things won’t feel the same due to the performance constraints. Nowadays games are focused on being too smooth, perhaps there’s so much focus on graphical fidelity that all other aspects of development are glossed over.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight might end up stumbling into many problems, I don’t believe it will be successful on PC but there’s a high chance it will work fine in other systems. Despite this, the console market isn’t particularly in a good spot, considering we are in an era of PC gaming dominance and pretty much all of the money comes from the PC side of things. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight might be a good game but if they don’t solve the Denuvo issue, along with polishing performance for older systems, it might not make it.
