Bethesda is hated by many due to their poorly optimized games and for ruining so many series it has touched. Thankfully, it seems that Fallout New Vegas will not be a victim to sloppification as a service, because they don’t know how to reverse engineer their own game. Its crazy that things are so bad that a company does not even remember how they made a game in the first place, while people who are familiar with modding can already do these things themselves. Alas we are speaking about a company who literally put an old game into a new engine that just changed the graphics but kept the bugs.
Bethesda fumbles again
At the very least, they won’t touch the best entry of Fallout anytime soon, and I hope it never happens either. The original game is already perfect and it does not deserve to be trounced over with a buggy remaster or even a remake. We can play the original any time we want, and even if we need mods to actually make it stable its much better than everything that came after in the series. It is crazy how much the Fallout franchise has fallen out of relevancy due to all the bad moves it did since 3, but this is how Bethesda works.
Bethesda had the potential to be a great company, but now it will be remembered for the blunder that was Fallout 76, the live service game that pretty much ended up being a dumpster fire. I don’t think anybody real is playing that thing, and even when it was free nobody really jumped to try it out. Seems like being overly ambitious, late to trends, and lacking the proper workforce are the things that characterize Bethesda. Along with maybe having some interesting artists here and there that could be in a better place.
