Grand Theft Auto 4 Dev Kit

Grand Theft Auto 4 Dev Kit has been dropped in the wild and this will cause the popularity of modding for that game to rise exponentially on PC. This is something amazing because the more power mod developers have correlates to the better quality of mods as a whole. No more reverse engineering or having to guess more things because now we have stuff straight from the source. Along with the dev kit, assets have also been leaked which will allow us to rebuild the game as if we were actually RockStar themselves. This is a huge win for the modding community.

Grand Theft Auto 4 Dev Kit Leak

Not many expected this would happen, some even suggested this would never happen, but finally when it does everyone is excited. This will give us the opportunity to do things beyond our imagination and what we could even do today. When a landmark event like this happens, oftentimes the amount of people playing the game skyrockets, so you will have to keep an eye on sites like SteamDB or other sites that provide player charts as an information option cause this will be huge. However, now everything is a victory, as this can pose a greater risk to the security of users.

Once people know how the code of something works, as evidenced by the Grand Theft Auto 4 Dev Kit being leaked, then exploits and malicious code can be easily written to affect users by pushing a bad update to the game. If they could someone hack an important account handled by RockStar, this could give attackers the privilege to do very nasty things, but I don’t believe the Dev Kit would give such powers to someone. The era of Grand Theft Auto 4 modding is upon us with even greater force now.
