EXODUS is quite the interesting looking game, and it just got a gameplay trailer showcasing what we can expect from it when it launches on PC in 2027. This is yet another one of those triple A big budget games that take quite a while to produce, but hopefully the wait is worth it. I’m not entirely sure what made the company decide to jump into publishing a video game instead of focusing on the dumpster fire that is the current state of Magic the Gathering, but maybe they wish to diversify. We still don’t know many details, just that its being made by Archetype Entertainment.
EXODUS coming in 2027
This is an RPG, and it will definitely be a big one, this is the kind of game where they pump tons of budget into and expect it to stick, and hopefully this one provides something revolutionary cause from the trailer itself, I feel like its rather derivative. We already have Mass Effect, and I also covered another game that is coming out in 2027 that wields a similar premise to this one in a way. Still, I wanna give them the benefit of the doubt, most of the time trailers don’t really sell games so we will see.
EXODUS looks amazing in the graphical side of things, and that’s expected when you have thousands of dollars to expend in one project and you are being published by one of the biggest cardboard dealers out there. Wizards of the Coast could comfortably live off selling Magic the Gathering cards, yet it decides to take the opportunity to expand into another medium, a medium they are familiar with but this is a new thing they never did before. If you are interested, perhaps you can just wishlist EXODUS to let them know you like it.
