Fortnite Artist who designed Jonesy has been fired in 2026

Fortnite has been dead for a while but now its dying even quicker. The artist who pretty much carried the game together has been fired and probably many other artists have been fired too. This comes at a time when Epic has decided to increase the price of their virtual currency by reducing the amount of V-Bucks you can get in each bundle which is preposterous. The company is making record profits, yet cuts are still happening regardless because that’s how the system works for them. Many of the recent layoff workers are surprised this even happened in the first place.

Fortnite might die soon

I feel like we can close the chapter of live service games, the people behind them, mostly the CEOs and companies have shown that they shouldn’t be trusted with them. They will often aim to create environments that are oppressive and exploitative towards gamers who can’t recognize the psychological tricks used to drain them of their money. Unfortunately kids are still stuck in this machine of microtransactions and the worst part is that they never got to experience the true age of gaming, believing everything always worked like this.

What matters the most is that the people who make Fortnite in the first place just got back stabbed by the greedy Tim Swiney, who has decided that he needs a bigger payroll while the bottom line just has to find another job in an impossible job market. Its painful to know that pretty much one third of the industry has already been fired despite always doing their best at work, but we know that this happens because the CEOs and Shareholders just want even more money, even more riches that they could possibly even use. Perhaps its time to boycott Fortnite, as the game is pretty much dead.
