Crimson Desert Doesn’t Support Intel ARC GPUs, Devs Suggest Refunds if You Have One

If you have an Intel ARC series of GPUs which provide quite nice value for money in the current state of gaming industry and are hoping to buy the recently released Crimson Desert, there’s going to be some bad news for you. Developer Pearl Abyss has revealed in the game’s official FAQ that Crimson Desert doesn’t support Intel ARC GPUs at all and the devs suggest you refund the game if you have one, which means there won’t be support in the future as well. According to the game’s official FAQ:

“No, Crimson Desert currently does not support Intel Arc graphics cards. If you purchased the game expecting Intel Arc support, please refer to the refund policy of the platform where the game was purchased for available options. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”

This is a real downer as the Intel ARC GPUs offer pretty decent value for your money and can even offer great competition to both AMD and NVIDIA cards especially in the budget category. But it’s definitely unfair for players with Intel GPUs as there’s no other game out there that doesn’t support these cards, and though they have had some driver issues in the past but nothing that couldn’t be fixed via updates.

In other news of Crimson Desert, the game has received it’s Day 1 patch which addresses tons of gameplay and other technical issues including Quick Time Events’ difficulty and many more. The update also improves the dialogues and voice lines of many NPCs to make them look more natural in the game, besides including numerous fixes for animations, movements, lip-sync, visual clipping, graphical effects and voice acting for NPCs and animals. Pearl Abyss claims there’s also performance and stability improvements on the PC version with the patch which is definitely great.

Crimson Desert is holding a current Metacritic score of 78 but it’s on it’s way to become a surefire hit, thanks to the game’s nearly 400,000 pre-launch sold units on Steam.
