One of the hotly anticipated titles of this year, developer Insomniac’s upcoming Wolverine reportedly suffers another leak and this time, only around a week of the game’s release. First spotted by Kotaku, the leaked gameplay footage for Wolverine has already made it’s way on TikTok and other social media platforms, and has even revealed the game’s boss fights as well as the final moments, which can be pretty damning for obvious reasons.
There’s also a Reddit forum which claims to get hold of the finalized story of Wolverine, although there’s currently no confirmation from the devs that it’s actually true, but as we’re getting the full, official version of the game in just a few more days, checking out any of those leaked contents just aren’t worth it. So if you don’t want to get spoiled on the upcoming third person action title, it’s better to stay away from all of those unofficial gameplay and story contents, especially as you’ll get to experience the game in it’s full glory just next week.
This is not the first time Wolverine has been hit with leaks, though, as back in 2023, Insomniac was data-breached by a ransomware group called Rhysida, who had released a whopping 1.67 TB of data and also threatened to release highly confidential information unless they were paid 50 BTC or around $2 million, within seven days. Publisher Sony had also acknowledged the hack, stating “We are aware of reports that Insomniac Games has been the victim of a cyber security attack”.
Marvel’s Wolverine comes out in two different editions–the Standard version of the game will cost you $69.99 while the Digital Deluxe version sports a price tag of $79.99. There’s no mention of a collector’s edition that’s geared towards enthusiasts so if you were hoping for physical collectibles like statues and maybe action figures, looks like there won’t be any of that.
