Airframe Ultra is made with love by Akupura Games, and we just got a new trailer for this PC game showing us when it will be releasing. As always, indie developers are the ones carrying the video game industry on their backs, and it shows because right now the triple A industry is collapsing due to the slop that they output and the decision to cost cut and cause people to lose their jobs. Someday indie games will take over and we will have a new video game renaissance, I can’t wait to see how that goes if I live to see this happen.
Airframe Ultra coming soon
In fact, it will be dropping in November 5th, so mark your calendars and turn on your engines because this game will sell like crazy. If you were itching for some classic action from the days of the PS1, I’m very sure that Airframe Ultra will scratch all the needs you have for a Combat Racer game. Twisted Metal is a dead series right now, and it seems that we won’t be getting any new game from it anytime soon, that means we need to rely on indie developers to get something neat that scratches the itch.
Airframe Ultra, however, remains an original game because its only taking those concepts as an inspiration, and as we can see it does look like something truly new. Even if the aesthetic mimics the low poly feel of the PS1, this game isn’t outdated, because that is an art style and art styles don’t get outdated with time. More developers are joining the revolution of low poly, baffling the bigger companies into thinking that maybe people don’t want to see more hyper realistic and samey games. It seems that Airframe Ultra will smoke the competition once it releases.
