Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will receive it’s last and final piece of post-launch content in the form of the Future Saga Chapter 4 DLC on July 8, making the upcoming content pack the last hurrah for the nearly decade old title before the devs shift all resources to Xenoverse 3 which is expected to release sometimes in next year. The new DLC and all of it’s contents can also help you ease the time of waiting before Xenoverse 3 arrives, so if you have Xenoverse 2, there’s no reason you wouldn’t want to get your hands on the Future Saga Chapter 4 DLC arriving next week. Check out the announcement trailer below:
The trailer showcases the plot of the upcoming DLC which sees the entire history of the Dragon Ball Universe at stake by a new threat and also has several characters slowly disappearing from existence–clearly the devs have taken a page from Avengers Infinity War while building the story of the Future Saga Chapter 4. A new form for Goku that looks like a greenish aura covering half of his body in Ultra Instinct is also teased which can likely be unlocked for your own playable character in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as well.
As for the total amount of contents available in the new DLC, there will be two new playable characters including a new form for Chronoa along with a new transformation for Goku, 1 new story Mission, 2 Parallel Quests, 4 Additional Moves, 6 Costumes/Accessories, 4 Super Souls, 1 New Stage, 8 Loading Screen Illustrations and more. There will also be two additional pieces of contents in the upcoming DLC but they’ll be revealed on July 4 and July 5, which means on today and tomorrow respectively.
Meanwhile, the trailer for the next title in the Xenoverse series namely Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 has been out last month which showcases brand new characters, time travel-based narrative, the new gameplay including it’s combat system and many more elements.
